Lunch and a Bite of History is a weeklong series of presentations focused on historical research related to the US-Dakota war of 1862. All presentations will be about 40 minutes with a 15-minute Q&A session to follow. Some presenters will conclude a book signing session.
Murrary County Museum Coordinator Janet Timmermann will discuss southwest Minnesota's connection to the Dakota War, including Lake Shetek, Slaughter Slough, and the Great Trading Post. This lunch will coincide with a van tour, sponsored by the Brown County Historical Society, that will encompass the western part of Brown County.
